Congratulations to the Bromsgrove School IB Class of 2026 on an outstanding set of International Baccalaureate results, reflecting both their academic ability and the commitment they have shown throughout their studies.
With an IB Diploma average of 38.3 points before remarks, placing the School amongst the very highest-performing IB schools in the UK, we are delighted to celebrate not only our students’ academic success, but also the remarkable young people they have become.
More than 40% of pupils achieved 40 points or above, a standard reached by only around 10% of the global IB cohort. Two students achieved the maximum 45 points, a score attained by fewer than 1% of IB students worldwide.
The strength of these results will enable many of our students to progress to highly competitive university courses in the UK and internationally.
These results are a testament not only to the pupils’ hard work, perseverance and ambition, but also to the support and guidance provided by their teachers and the wider school community. The IB programme demands intellectual curiosity, resilience and a global outlook, and our pupils have met that challenge with distinction.
Headmaster, Mr Michael Punt, said:
"We are immensely proud of this year’s IB Diploma cohort and their average score of 38.3 points. These results reflect the hard work, dedication and resilience of our pupils, supported throughout by the expertise, commitment and care of our staff. However, the success of this cohort extends far beyond academic achievement. Our students leave Bromsgrove with the confidence, character, leadership skills and breadth of experience developed through the many opportunities they have embraced during their time at School. They are kind, capable and well prepared for the next stage of their lives. We congratulate every student on their achievements and thank our staff for the part they have played in helping them realise their potential."
